Mumbai, Maharashtra, date, 2021 WDIPL is proud to unveil the Sattva Connect App.
WDIPL was interviewed on the achievement of its first-ever app launch. Let's know more about it.
- What Is The Sattva App and What Does It Offer?
Sattva Connect App is a health and fitness platform that provides an opportunity for their visitors with daily satsangs, kirtans, guided meditations, and other yogic practices. The main motive in building the app was to provide its users with the option to practice daily yoga & meditation, at any time and place.
This involved engaging user experience with video classes that could run both online and offline as well as a medium to communicate with the instructors. The app also provides you with live stream sessions, for a peaceful time of yogic classes for an enlightening time.
- What were your goals while planning the app?
Our goals were to have a user-friendly app that looked appealing and was super responsive. The app consists of yoga sessions, fitness videos, and live streams. To have all these worked effortlessly for users, it was an important task for us to get it all functioned well. Hence we used technologies like React, to make it responsive and to get the behaviour like a SPA. Also, the use of dynamic data load helped us in terms of long databases, so the data of users were in store.
- Is there any subscription involved?
Yes. The first 14 days is a completely free trial that you can cancel anytime. Later to which, the membership plans are categorized as monthly plans and yearly plans.
- What were the challenges faced?
We had to step into the shoes of the users. What would an average user want from this app? A tech-free application that would simply provide yoga sessions and meditation, without any hassle, or wait. The app itself had to be deceiving enough to draw the attention of the users. The only challenge was to understand that the app wasn't limited to one group of people, and had no limits in terms of age. Hence, the color, design, layout had to be favourable to all age groups.
- What process was involved during the development of the app?
The app is built using state of art technologies and tools that enables Yoga teachers to conduct yoga sessions, live streams, courses, and enlightening information on meditation and peace with amazing speed and intuitive designs.
The process involved a 6 step strategy that helped our team evolve an idea into a successful app.
The very first phase of the mobile apps development involves a solid strategy that may include a vital part of this in the complete mobility strategy. This stage included Identification of the app users, research of the competition, discovering the app's goal and objectives, selecting the platform of the app.
- Analysis & Planning
Once we identified the requirements of the app, we prepared a product roadmap, that included prioritizing the mobile app requirements and classifying them into delivery milestones. The planning phase included identifying the needed skills for the app. For example, what technological stacks were needed.
- UI/UX Design
Our main goal was to consider the age group we're revolving around. With the help of UI/UX design, we created an appealing user experience that made the app interactive, intuitive, and user-friendly that would be favourable to a 25-year-old, and at the same time to a 50-year-old.
- App Development
This involved an integral part of the development phase. We had to concentrate and work on defining the technical architecture, choose a technology stack, define the development milestones.
We performed thorough quality assurance (QA) testing during the process. This helped us in making the application stable, secure and usable. This phase included user experience testing, functional testing, performance testing, security testing, device & platform testing.
- Support & Deployment
This phase included preparing metadata like the app's title, description, category, keywords, launch icon, app store screenshots.
- What was the response of the end-users on the play store after downloading the app?
Before I answer this question. I would want to address you all with a fact. Did you know? Between the years 2011 and 2016, the ratio of people practising yoga drastically increased from 8.5% to 14.3% in adults, and amazingly in older children, the graph went from 3.1% to 7.4%. That's the demand for meditation, and all this could not be provided to people who weren't around Sattva physically. A website is just a face in the world to achieve online fame, but an App is a right hand to your brand.
We happened to see the same response from the end-users for the Sattva App. They were all surprisingly amazing and amenable. We sure believed in positive feedback, but the layout of the app with easy navigation for its users left them with songs of praise even today.
